Because of the outstanding talent in the South African team, our engineers and industries were recognised as radio astronomy technology experts in a very short time, and in some cases our team members have taken over the leadership of the technology collaborations. The collaborations have now matured to a state where South African experts and research organisations are contributing equally to their peers in joint projects that are closely linked to the SKA project.
