Astro-Technology Undergraduate Programme

Astro-technology is a new undergraduate programme of study at the University of Cape Town starting in 2009.

Astro-technology combines maths, physics, astrophysics and electronic engineering courses together into a degree that will equip you with the analytic, computational and practical skills required to work on large scale, cutting edge technological projects.

It provides an undergraduate student with a broad based grounding in the fundamentals of science and engineering in order to pursue world-class research or enter the fast paced, and ever expanding technology industry.

Astro-technology is a 3 year B.Sc course offered by the UCT Science Faculty. A fourth year B.Sc (Hons) is recommended, with a number of specialisation streams available.
