About the Position

SARAO has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Administrator to join our Cape Town based team on a six (6) month contract basis. The HR Administrator will provide quality HR compliance, payroll and administrative support to day-to-day HR operations, ensuring the efficient delivery of HR services.

Minimum education requirement:

  • National Diploma or equivalent in Human Resources/Payroll

Minimum work experience required:

  • 2 years’ experience working in a similar role

Duties include (but not limited to):

  • Assisting in compiling HR reports as and when required
  • Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Assisting with payroll administration and reconciliation
  • Administering leave and compiling related reports
  • Assisting in staff intake and disengagement
  • Assisting in coordinating HR meetings and travel arrangements
  • Maintaining HR files
  • Assisting with Recruitment and Selection where required
  • Assist in collecting and submitting paperwork for all HR purchases
  • Assisting the HR team with projects

The ideal candidate will have the following competencies:

Ability to:

  • communicate effectively (written and verbal)
  • display strong organisational and administrative skills
  • display integrity and pay attention to detail
  • display effective problem solving skills
  • work independently as well as in a team environment

Experience in:

  • payroll administration
  • HR Administration

Knowledge of:

  • HR legislation
